they are local to me and advertize quite a bit but not on here I see. Cater more to the black rifle and semi- auto crowd, not much in revolvers.

I like simple when it comes to a defensive firearm. Pull, point, and shoot. KISS. When things go South I don't want lots of bells and whistles.

You can often save A LOT of money buying online, then paying an FFL fee. For one, you avoid tax in many states. That alone saves me more.
I search guns on Slickguns | Best deals on guns and ammo posted by users and then jump on good deals. They had Shield 9mm's on there for $369 a while back. They're gone now.

Bought my 9c aout 6months ago before the increase. Paid my LGS $20 for transfer and no tax. it arrived in two days for me to pick up.
Order with you CC and they ship to an FFL on file. It is that simple.
I did not buy from Buds b/c at the time they were $360 shipped.

Clarification regarding FFL in my area...
The two LGS that I knew of at the time were charging $75 and $90 respectively for the FFL. It occurs to me that they know their prices are high and want to keep people from getting a better deal somewhere else so they, in essence, create their own little tariff. IMHO, FFL fees should have a cap to avoid this kind of nonsense.
Also, I live in Washington State. We don't have an income tax but our sales tax is one of the highest in the nation. So ordering online would be a natural. However, they collect sales tax on certain items (i.e. Autos, Guns) regardless of where you purchased them. Again, no good for me.
On the bright side I have found at least one LGS that has some better prices on their web site and charge $40 for FFL so I'll be checking them out later this week.

The highest in my city is around $50. The last time I did a transfer it was $30, and I was a little disappointed because that LGS raised their fee from $20.
I think I will stick with the LGS that charges $30 since they are also very nice to deal with.
There is another place that is even cheaper but the employees are rude.
