I have been searching for an ankle holster for my Shield .40 with a lasermax laser. I have been very unsuccessful. I have found a couple IWB's that I purchased, but would also like to ankle carry. If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Not really an answer, but more of a question. ?... isnt a Sheild a bit big for an ankle holster? Im not sure Hillary Clinton has ankles big enough to hide a Sheild LOL

Just trying to weigh out my options. Dress code policy at work is button down shirt/tie. I am new to CCW. Any suggestions?

I often ankle carry a SW990Lc (same exact size as a G27). It's amazing how quickly my left leg got use to the extra weight. Like people say about some IWB holsters, "you forget it's there!"

I carry an M&P 9c in a De Santis ankle holster. It takes awhile to find the right place for it, but when you do, it disappears within minutes of putting it on. No one ever looks at your feet, though you can't really tell that there is anything inside my pant legs anyways. I wear fairly tight fitting pants too.

I was looking at an ankle holster and wasn't sure about it. The owner of the store asked if I needed help, I said yes, and explained that I was looking for an ankle holster but thought that it printed too much. He then lifted his pant leg to reveal a full size 1911 in an ankle holster that I had no idea was there. Then he showed me how to put it on and the 'tricks of the trade', if you will, and I haven't looked back.

Once you do it, you will feel liberated by not having to worry if you are printing, not worrying about keeping your shirt down, or sitting down and exposing your firearm. Everyone who says that they don't like ankle holsters says you can't get to it fast enough. My first order of business when SHTF is to take cover. I am willing to trade a little ease of access for the level of conceal-ability that I have.

Crossbreed Minituck

I have a Comp-tac something or other (I haven't looked at the name). It was 90 bucks, and it conceals a fullsize 1911 fairly well, but again, I am not comfortable with it.

Amazing, isn't it?!?

What IWB's for your Shield with Lasermax did you end up getting. Just curious as I have the same.

Now that more time has gone by, how are you liking the ankle holster? My Uncle Mike's size 12 fit my Shield perfectly, but with the Lasermax added, it sits up too high in the holster. Even with my loosest fitting jeans, the top/back of the slide sticks out like a sore thumb.

I love it. No issues at all with any of the pants (jeans or slacks) where any part of the gun sticks out.
