So according to jkc-the Red Ryder BB gun is an effective bear gun

No degree of sarcasm will elicit or induce any declarative statement from me remotely resembling an affirmative defense of the Daisy Red Ryder BB gun as an adequate or appropriate "bear gun". Persons in doubt of its efficacy are encouraged to experiment for themselves, cautiously...!!!

But reading and re-reading the comments from a few, it makes me wonder if they ever spent a night in the woods.
