Another Early Triple Lock

This is serial 373, obviously refinished post engraving but an excellent job as evinced by the sideplate seam. Quite attractive engraving and the hammer and trigger appear to be fire blued and Ivory grips that have shrunk with time.

The gun is mechanically excellent and bore pristine. I do shoot it on occasion with light loads.

Awesome! I've noted in the Forum the loss of my Triple Lock in 2020 due to a wildfire, a Factory nickel gun with ivory grips. I still grieve... ! Lovely gun, I'm jealous! ML

Hammer and trigger look case hardened to me not fire blued. Looks great to me , I'd be shooting it on a regular basis . I really like the engraving .

That is a great one! Haven't seen all that many engraved TLs although I suppose there may be a lot of them hidden away. This one turned up here locally a couple months ago. It is by Shiro Ogawa, do you have any idea who engraved yours or when? Love those ivories.

I don't think I've ever seen one that was known to be factory engraved. Love it, and obviously a few owners have loved it and used it since it left the factory.

Here's another non-factory engraved TL. By Heidi-Marie Hiptmayer. It's been seen here before but perhaps there are a few new members who haven't seen it.

My 7.5" target came with the same checkered trigger. From my understanding, they're quite scarce.
I have the original non-medallion concave grips, but the ivories look great on it.
