This is serial 373, obviously refinished post engraving but an excellent job as evinced by the sideplate seam. Quite attractive engraving and the hammer and trigger appear to be fire blued and Ivory grips that have shrunk with time.

The gun is mechanically excellent and bore pristine. I do shoot it on occasion with light loads.IMG_2509.jpegIMG_2507.jpegIMG_2510.jpegIMG_2511.jpegIMG_2513.jpegIMG_2512.jpegIMG_2520.jpegIMG_2516.jpeg

That is a great one! Haven't seen all that many engraved TLs although I suppose there may be a lot of them hidden away. This one turned up here locally a couple months ago. It is by Shiro Ogawa, do you have any idea who engraved yours or when? Love those ivories.

I have no idea. A stunning gun you have! When was your’s engraved and did you commission it? Perhaps we need a thread on engraved Triple Locks.

I don't think I've ever seen one that was known to be factory engraved. Love it, and obviously a few owners have loved it and used it since it left the factory.

Here's another non-factory engraved TL. By Heidi-Marie Hiptmayer. It's been seen here before but perhaps there are a few new members who haven't seen it.
