I was lucky enough this last weekend at Tulsa to be able to get photos of another First Russian Contract. Many thanks to Hugh May for loaning me the revolver for pictures!

Butt and the early style lanyard ring. The First Russian Contracts have a "paper clip shaped" lanyard ring for a leather strap. This was changed for the Second Russian Contract to more of a 'D' shaped lanyard ring for a carabiner type attachment.

And last, but not least, the hinge insert on the right side of the frame. This is very early (6253) and seems to be missing the slot in the right side hinge insert. It is unknown if this is a transition or an insert from a 2nd model. I will look it up to see if they are interchangeable/compatible.

Excellent Pictures Joe. I'll be doing some close comparisons to my Commercial when it arrives. If mine isn't one you've Documented/Photographed, I'll do some detailed Pics and post them.

Great Post and thanks for sharing.
