Another good day to cast

My alloy recipe is very simple. Straight wheel weights. I get a 5 gallon bucket chock full for 30.00. Usually yields about 75 lbs. of material.

Lube for these is the 45/45/10. Lee liquid alox, Johnson's wax, and mineral spirits.

As these are plinking and informal target loads. this combo works out great. They shoot well at 7-800 fps, and are fairly inexpensive. Plus, I just enjoy doing it.

Weather was bad last night so I stayed home and cast about 500 38 wadcutters. I really like my Lee 6 cavity mold. It really is fast. I need to try that 45-45-10 formula. I usually just use liquid alox.
