Mick, I had a 4" 28-3 for years but needed a 6". I was finally able to nail one down a year or so ago. By the time of the -3 engineering change, longer barrels had already fallen out of vogue and this fact made finding the 6" 28-3 pretty tough. Drew

I sent out the letter request yesterday on the HP. $50.00? Nope, the printer ink dried up so I had to get that, the ink was more than a new printer (with ink) so I got a new printer, couldn't find any paper the grand kids had not drawn pictures of Mommy, Daddy, Grandpa, Granma, the dog, themselves and what looks like a Rorschach test, with crayons. Stopped by the post office up in Sun City during my lunch break and stood in line with all the blue haired ladies sending Christmas gifts back to the kids the other side of the Mississippi (why do other people's grand kid's baby pictures look so bad) but one noticed my shirt(with company logo) and that worked out into a new customer (maybe). Geez, I just realized I hang around the post office pickin' up old ladies,,, how much lower can this S&W addiction get me?

Since Gizamo was always on the hunt for one of these I sent him a PM inviting him to check this out.
I, like most others, pretty much believed the dash 1 to only be a result of a quickly enacted engineering change, only existing on paper. This picture will resurrect the drive in many to find another.

That's what I do here. I've got grips/stocks for Smiths I don't own. She responds with "why did buy those, if you don't blah blah blah....." my response is.....because they are freakin cool.

Yes, they do. And I was lucky enough to hold that Model 28-1 in my bare hands. The only one known to exist. Quite cool!
