Local shop took in a 6 inch model 16-4, full target, 98% with original box and papers. Now, I really like the .32's, but in general I prefer revolvers with 4 inch barrels or less, so I hesitated (briefly). Then I recalled some words of wisdom recently posted by forum member peyton (who just may be the #1 .32 fan on here) regarding the 16-4's. It was something along the lines of "...if you find one, you get it". So, I got it.

Here it is with the 4 inch 16-4 I already had. And, all my .32 mags together: the two 16-4's, a 631, a 631 Lady Smith, and an original 632 Airweight.

Nice. My dad just gave me a 16-4 with an 8 3/8 barrel to try out. He said he'd give me a real good deal on it if I like it and if I don't want it to sell it for him. I generally like a shorter barrel as well but this one sure is nice.

BUT.....key word. Knowing it came from your Dad adds to the package deal. Grab it. Take your Dad shooting with you when you shoot it.

Go shoot it, I guarantee you'll be hooked. I haven't shot the 6 inch yet, but my 4 inch 16-4 is easily the most accurate centerfire revolver I own. Virtually no recoil with .32 long ammo, I shoot it as well as any of my .22's.

I am glad you remembered my words of wisdom!! Good collection you got going there too.

I am just getting into the .32 magnums myself. Unfortuantely, I could only locate a Ruger Blackhawk .32 H & R magnum/.32-20 Revolver. I guess it will have to do for now... :)

That's one heck of an accomplishment unto itself here in California... congrats on that find. Typically, the .32 H&R magnum in Rugers is found in the smaller framed single six model.
