Hello All,
A other new guy checking in. I'm happy to have found, not only an active group, but, down right friendly too. So thanks for the warm welcome guys.
However,.........didn't take long (within 24 hours) of registering, that I found myself in trouble with our local LE (site's Administrator). First, I want to commend our Admin for politely taking me aside and pointing out my infringement. That's highly commendable and respectful.
Now "Play Ball"......

Welcome to the forum and don't be too hard on yourself. I consider myself pretty conscientious when it comes to forum rules and yet I've run afoul of the Mods as well. Boneheaded error. What I thought was a question was actually a "Want to Buy" post. I've now learned to scan all the way across to see what forum a post is in. Stick around and you'll learn a lot from this very knowledgeable group.
Good shootin',
Doug

Welcome to the forum.

You only received a "reminder'. I trust you're sharp enough to now review the rules that you agreed to when you joined.

Like our country, we maintain our standards based on rules. Please read them and enjoy the board.
Best regards,

Greetings from the Oregon Coast!

Sounds like it wasn't too serious. My first post was ten years ago in March. I was following this very serious discussion about Gen. Custer and the Little Big Horn. I decided to lighten the mood, and told a very funny joke. I got dinged (probably a reminder, since I was new) for creative spelling! I've received a few dings since then, generally when I lose my grasp of common sense.

I think you'll like it here!

I'm a slow student.....

I always had a 'clinging ding' and have taken a few 'vacations'. But you right. They are right on top of it, which makes this one of the best forums for anything on the web. I won't go near the buy/sell forum.

Another hearty welcome from Arizona. Don't worry about getting dinged - I've had it happen to me - an old-timer - a number of times. Always in my opinion borderline and debatable, but a ding is a ding. Not my forum, not my rules. But this place is indeed enjoyable for the knowledge and camaraderie it offers in spades. Lots of good people here; even the moderators! :D
