Another Sigma Holster Thread

After reading thru 3 pages of search results, I'm going to be "that guy" and start a new holster thread...

I have a Fobus Paddle for the range and an IWB leather from holsterdeals4u on ebay. Eh, not my cup of tea. I contacted Comp-Tac about an IWB thats a lot like the Crossbreed and the Kholster. I was informed that they do not make the holsters for the Sigma currently, BUT, it is "on the books" for the future as people have been asking for them. I was told that they need to purchase the weapon to make the molds before they can start production on them.

I have heard thru the intranets (haha) that holsters for the 9mm M&P and some Glock 17 or 21 or 23 holsters will work.?? Is there any real "truth" to these claims, as the holster I'm looking at, they DO make for said models... Heres a link.

Honestly, I think the M&P slide MTAC holster would work perfect for the sigma. I am currently using a crossbreed clone made for a M&P for my Sigma. A few of my M&P holsters fit my sigma perfect.

I also looked at a Crossbreed clone at the Dallas Gun Show. Well he actually claimed some legal issues with the founder of Crossbreed. So reguardless of which one was 1st, he didn't have a Sigma holster. I asked about a G17 & he allowed me to do a test fit. It was a real nice fit! If you compare the two on the manufacture's sites, they are REAL close in size. I hope this helps! Let us know what you decide to get!

The full size M&P holsters work well. I have an IWB and OWB from don hume and they fit very well, as do my SD's.

Since Blade Tech makes kydex holstersfor the Sigma, and Don Hume makes a dozen different leather holsters for a Sigma, as does a member on this forum (Lobo), I never felt the need to try holsters that almost fit.

I have made a couple of pancake holsters for my Sigma but have yet to make a IWB for it. I have made one for my Ruger LCP and it works well so far. I plan to make one for the Sigma sooner or later.

turbo, i sent you a pm about the high rise... however, the last picture you posted is REAL inticing... I'm going to have to take a little time and figure out what the hell I want to do. OWB is MUCH more comfortable for me personally, but, the IWB I have isnt the "greatest" either. I fear getting burried up to my neck in holsters before I find "the right one". This has become quite the expensive hobby.

Here's a pic of the one I have now... Not a huge fan of the single clip. I get too much rotation and slippage, additionally, the thing is too damn tight. (its been in the holster for a week straight so far. ive been removing and reinserting about a dozen times a day or so) If god forbid anything happend where I would need to draw a weapon, this one would be "stuck".

I purchased my Sigma at a local gun show in Macon. There was a booth there from Georgia Holster Group. They were very helpful and nice; I had the Sigma with me in the case, so they took it out and instantly matched it to an American Pride brand leather IWB (about $26 or $28 I think), size Medium. The Sigma fits it like a glove and it comes out very smoothly, but retains nicely. I've worn it nearly daily since I got my license and it's been comforatable. Once I added a Houge handall grip, I really don't even feel it anymore. Here's a picture of my SW9VE in a IWB holster made for me buy Ray at Lobo Gun Leather. Lobo Gun Leather - Home Ray does great work and is a regular poster on the forum.

Here is my IWB holster and my Fobus HK-1 and Fobus mag carrier. All work for me with my Sigma S40VE. The holster fits perfect, the barrel is exactly flush with the bottom of the leather and the profile matches the gun exactly.
