another what is it?

these were in a tool box I bought at an estate sale. the box had a lot of electrician stuff in it and I have no idea what these hard plastic tubes are. they are marked "M. Klien & Co, Chicago, U.S.A." lets hear those guesses. lee

Edit. I can see it know. It took it's sweet time loading. And... I had no ideia of what it was. But thankfully MOONDAWG came to the rescue.

They may be usable. They're very stiff when new. They should be partially immersed in very hot (or even boiling) water for 30 or 45 seconds. Don't let the water get into the grip. Even then, they have to been driven on with a hammer. They won't come off.
