ANY .32S&W LONG, .32 H&RMAG, .32-20 WCF, OR .327FEDMAG FANS?

Hello, my name is Bastogne71 and I'm a 32-aholic also.

It all started when I saw a just released S&W model 631 at a local gun show. I thought it would be the perfect companion to my model 63 - a centerfire kit gun. Next was a model 332 then a model 16-4 followed by a lovely model 31-1.
Next, because S&W will not build me one on a K frame, I was forced to get a Ruger SP-101. Last was a Ruger Single Seven, my only single action pistol.
Oh yes! There is a Marlin 1894CB in the safe chambered in 32 Mag but that's a rifle. Does that count as well?

The most consistent loads for accuracy and velocity in my 16-4 is Hodgdon's maximum load of LilGun with A Hornady 100gr XTP

.32-20 WCF for me, with home cast 77 to 92 grain bullets, fired through my Colt Police Positive Special, made in 1911. Bullseye or Unique for powder.

Gil, here's a picture of the model 2 rolling block. It is by far my favorite rifle to take for a walk in the woods. It's 5.5 pounds have a 3lb trigger pull and print 2 inch groups at 100 yards. It showed up at a local black rifle shop as a trade in. I was more than happy to relieve them of it for the asking price.

Let me know when you tire of it. It would make a nice companion to my 4 3/4" Cimarron Model P Jr, using the .32-20 cylinder.

It wouldn't be "authentic" but if Uberti would make a second, 327 FM cylinder for their more than excellent 32-20 copy of their SAA, I would have to buy one. The 32-20 is definitely a sweetheart in that platform.

Well, I just started with the .32 addiction. Ruger Single Seven Birdshead in hand, Single Seven 4 5/8" barrel with XS Big Dot Sight arriving Wednesday and a Henry Carbine in .327 Federal Magnum next on the list.

I have a Pre-31 and a Ruger SSM 32 H&R. I go the other way, the 32 long gets about 700 fps and the 32 Mag gets 950. With a 100 gr bullet it does all I need a small game gun to do and with homecast at cheaper than 22 prices.

Picked up a M&P .32-20 in the late 80's at an Indy gun show for under $100. It was used and appeared to be Pre-war with the big hammer. Action was pretty good and I bought a box of .32-20 at the show.

Holy Cow! That box of .32-20 was louder than any .357 Magnum I ever shot. It turned out the .32-20 ammo that I bought was loaded for M92 Winchester rifle!

I kept the M&P .32-20 for a year or so and never found any .32-20 factory or custom loaded PISTOL ammo, so I traded it off for what I don't remember.

I've always regretted not keeping it and getting .32-20 dies and loading my own and possibly gotten another K frame cylinder to use for .32 S&W and .32 Mag.

Rear sight is always better that fore sight.

You weak-willed people disgust me. I don't have a .32 problem.

I mean, I do have a .32 H&R Magnum fixed sight Ruger Single Six that CDNN was closing out at a bargain price back in 2006. Then a couple of months later I saw a cute little .32 Long Regulation Police at a gun show, again at a bargain price. Of course I had to have a nickel one too, and one with a 6" barrel. Later on I realized that the Single Six was available in .32 H&R with the 9-1/2" barrel (and adjustable sights of course) so that was a necessity.

Then there's the 6" 16-4 in .32 H&R that I needed because I already had the 17-6 .22 with the full underlug (I didn't get the 14-5 .38 until quite a few years later.) And the 16-3 in .32 Long to go with the other Masterpieces in .22 and .38. And certainly nobody could fault me for getting the .32 Long Colt Officers Model to go with the .22 and .38 caliber Colts, and Taurus Model 76 in .32 H&R and Alfa Proj .32 Long for the same reason.

And prewar .32 Long target revolvers are precious few so surely I can be forgiven for branching out to .32-20 in the S&W 1905 Target Model, which needed a fixed sight M&P to go with it. And a Colt Official Police .32-20 for balance and might as well pick up a Police Positive Special in that caliber as well. Not to mention the Police Positive Special Target Model in .32 Police (same as .32 S&W Long). And Cimarron makes such a nice copy of the SAA in .32-20, and then there was the nicely refinished Marlin 1894 with octagonal barrel, again at a bargain price.

Of course the .327 is such an interesting caliber that I wanted a Masterpiece in that caliber and since S&W doesn't make one, I had Andy Horvath put one together for me with an 8-3/8" barrel for maximum performance. I got a Ruger Single Seven .327 in stainless with the 7-1/2" barrel but it wasn't exactly what I wanted, so I bought a blue Single Seven and am having a 9-1/2" .22 barrel rebored to .32 so I'll have one to match my .32 H&R Ruger.

Then there's the S&W Bicycle Gun in .32 S&W (not Long) and an actual Harrington and Richardson in .32 H&R - I mean, you can't not have these, right?

There are probably a couple of others I missed but anyway, I don't have a problem, you guys have got the problem.

In addition to the spicy .327 Federal that I load, I also load wadcutters in .32 S&W Long for this tack driver:

It's a Walther GSP-c, this one made back in 1986. It is likely the most capable semiautomatic pistol that I own.

What's fun is that it is not legal in Chicago or New York State. Because it's magazine does not fit inside it's grip, they believe that this 5-shot wadcutter flinger is an "assault pistol."

As I have watched this thread develop and thought about the 32s I have, have had, and have seen listed, I come to the following conclusion; No matter how many of them I have, I'll always need just one more!

In the S&W realm, I really need a 32-20 K-frame Target as well as a 32 S&W L "kit gun" with 3 or 4" barrel and adjustable sights. Then the Model 631 revolver with 4" barrel and adjustable sights all built on a stainless package would be nice.

For Rugers, I'd really like to get back the Buckeye Special I once had with cylinders for 32 H&R and 32-20, but I'd probably be accused of being a Philistine for having it rechambered for 327 Fed Mag.

Then with my unlimited funds in my dream world I would buy a Marlin lever gun in 32 H&R (Model 1894?) and custom build a Ruger #3 Carbine in 327 Fed Mag.

Then I would be perfectly satisfied... until the next new 32 came along!

Count me in as a big 32 WCF fan.

What a great plinking/small game round. I picked up a Uberti Low wall in 32-20 about twenty years ago that I really like. I can hit a 12" gong pretty consistently with the irons at 200 yards with factory ammo.

More recently I acquired one of the 5,000 short run new production Moroku model 53s that came out in 1990. A really nice looker, with some gorgeous wood. I got some dies and am still working up a load for it. H-110 is showing promise but we are not there yet.

One of these days I will happen across a revolver chambered in this very cool little round.

The 357 mag must have been brand new and those loads are HOT.

I have a little one, a few little bigger ones, and one bigun'. All the smaller ones seem to bow down to the big one. I think the .32 caliber handguns are the most fun ones to shoot. I don't shoot them near often enough.
