Any ammo any where????

That is NOT...

Last night I went to a small local dealer who was handling a transfer of a 1911. He offered me a 200 round box of WWB 45 ACP doe $97 plus tax. I thought about but have a few ammo cans of 45 ACP so passed. On a whim I asked if he had any 32 ACP, he said yes, how many boxes did I want and I replied two. He apologized that the price was higher than last year but said his wholesale price was up 10% so far this year. He sold me 2 boxes of PMC for $18 a box plus tax.

That is NOT a bad deal.:)

I shop Walmarts, Cabelas and Bass Pro in the St. Louis area (basically the suburbs as the city is a dead stinking fish) at the two sporting goods store I find ammo if you are ther early on Wednesday or Thursday, but at Walmart I seem to find 308 and 22's more often. Bass Pro and Cabelas prices are up about 25% to 50%, but at Walmart the prices have stayed the same. Today I went to Walmart on my way, this Walmart is in an extremely woke are, but no quantity restrictions so I was able to buy 1 100 box of 22's and 4 boxes of 308 and one box of 30/30, at the same store last week I purchased 300 round of 22's. Seems to me that you need to get to the big sporting goods store early and you can find ammo, but you need to be there early and at least a few days a week. Now that my season has picked up, as I am a landscaper and arborist I do not get to those stores as often as I did I. The winter. The 308s were $18 a box the 22s were $7 a box .

Can't recall prices as I'm not in any need at the moment except for 357 magnum and 6.5 Creedmoor (which I haven't seen obviously), but I've been seeing .38 special, .45 ACP, .223, 5.56, 12 and 20 gauge, 22lr, lots of 9mm, .308, 7.62 and a few oddball items at the various LGS here in Central Ohio.
