I took the boys rimfire shooting with my 39A, Nylon 66 and a few revolvers. We tried a neighbor’s AR style and of course the boys loved it. Now they dont even care much for my 223 AR. Which is fine with me with ammo prices as they are. :)

I picked up a dedicated cmmg .22 upper to go on my 300 blkout build. I’ve shot the .22 upper a whole lot more than the 308 upper. Uses black dog mags. It’s very accurate

A Smith at Ruger actually apologized for the creation of their SR22.
A bit of a contraption and a little bit of forcing it back together with some parts after cleaning.
Sad but true. :D
My boy bought it and I put the old Bushnell 3-9x 40mm wide angle on for him and his Cop/Marine buddies to have some fun.

Will make a new forearm with an integrated bipod at some point.

The 9422 is an old school AR22.
Birth gift for the grandson now 5.
His sister got a 63-3 and is almost 2.
Plus 250 billion rounds of ammo.....

A couple of 15-22s have served my son and I well for many years. I bought him one first, and we had so much more fun shooting it than my Marlin that I had to have another one for myself. I know they've each fired near 30,000 rounds downrange. He's not as interested in rimfire now that he's all grown up, but I still like to get them out now and then.

Interesting.

Doing that with a 10/22 takedown would be a neat little set up. Charger takedown with a brace?

I’ve got a 15-22 pistol and it is fantastic thus far. Great size for my kids to shoot. I love running it, it’s fun accurate and reliable. Not to mention very lightweight!
I also have a Sig 522, which is not quite an AR set up but it is a tactical style .22. That is a phenomenal rifle as well. Boring level accuracy, runs well with everything, my kids love it (adjustable stock makes it more accessible) but it still weighs a little much for them in comparison to the 15-22.

Few years back I ordered a CMMG AR with a dedicated 22 upper. The lower is a standard lower that I can put any upper on.

When I was doing the paper work to stamp another AR I had I decide to stamp the CMMG too.

Lots of fun, and the only problem I've had with it was a broken firing pin. Sent a pic of it to CMMG and they sent me 2 free ones.

Bought a 4 1/2" CMMG 22 upper, but a friend talked me out of it a while back. It was a tiny package.

I have 2 of the Colt/Umarex/Walther AR15-22's
got them years ago when son was a pre-teen, he is in grad school now.. the M-4 version and my s&w 617 6 inch are my 2 most shot guns... one afternoon with 2 of his scout friends they managed to put 3,000 plus rounds down range.. put a $25 red dot on it and it takes out clay pigeons at 100 yards without much effort... they are way more fun than they should be...

Not long ago I bought the CMMG .22LR conversion for my ARs. Finally got to the range with it last Thursday. This thing is a hoot!
Ran perfectly. Did get a few misfires, but that was traced to the ammo. Although it does shoot a bit low with the sights set for 5.56. But I can live with that. ;)
I like it so much that as soon as I got home I ordered another mag and the McFadden loading tool. :D

I have a 16” Spikes .22 upper with LW barrel, which I just mounted on a spare Anderson lower that came with the 20” NM setup I got for the upper. Has BDM magazines and a CMMG modified BHOA to allow me to use the bolt release. I also swapped out the Spikes bolt for a CMMG… being it gave me a lot more function. I did get that BetterMag setup to use M&P magazines. Has a 3-9x scope on it.

Also picked up an M&P15-22 pistol… which is awesome. Really became a nice little .22 for the yard.

Once I get my .22 suppressor, it will be even more fun. I sort of have been considering to get rid of the Spikes .22… mainly because the M&P is nicer. But figure I’ll wait and see how it does with the can.

Compass Lake Engineering 22 upper, Aero lower, AR Gold trigger, and a Leupold 1.5-4X Patrol scope. Great shooter.

Not long ago picked up this Tippmann Arms M4-22. 500 trouble free rounds so far. Easily shoots under 2" groups at 50 yards with the scope. Recently removed the scope in favor of a Sig Romeo MSR red dot. On a recent range trip moved out to 100 yards and despite gusty winds groups stayed under 4".
I decided on the Tippmann over the S&W 15-22 because of its all aluminum construction and nickel plated bolt.

No knock on any of the 22LR AR's but If I were to buy one it would be the Keltec CMR30 in 22mag. Takes the same mags used in the PMR30 pistol.
