I bought this 2016 in 2019 with 5000 miles on it. It is my first Corvette and probably the only one I'll ever have, I'm enjoying every mile I drive it and smile every time I see it.
Worked my up to the Corvette starting with a 1986 Pontiac Fiero SE then a 1995 Pontiac Firebird Formula.
One of my good friends owned a Vette for 15 years. All he talked about was selling it and buying a new Porsche-which he did last year. Spoke to him yesterday and he told me he just sold the Porsche and ordered a new Vette. Said there is a waiting list almost 9 months long but since it’s not his daily driver he doesn’t care. 2 months into the Porsche, he hated it.
I got rid of my '67 coupe in the fall of '73. The Arab oil crisis greatly contributed to a sharp rise in the price of a gallon of gas from about thirty-five cents to fifty cents and beyond.
That’s a beautiful Vette! My friend’s father bought a brand new 76 Vette when I was a kid, white on white leather, and he put side pipes on it. I’ve loved that era Vette ever since. I think the white ones look great, love those wheels, and that saddle interior really looks awesome.
I bought my 2000 about 16 years ago, and I had looked at a few C3s to buy, but didn’t find one in the right condition, color, and/or price. Then, I drove the C5, and it drove so darn good, I was hooked. But, I really don’t think you can beat the look of the C3 Corvette!
My wife keeps telling me I should get one of the new ones. I keep saying nah, I just can’t see dumping that much money into a toy at this stage in my life... My wife sure is a keeper!
