Yup, Christmas Eve I came across a Ruger Stainless Bisley Flattop 44 Special 5.5" bbl. Had to buy it because it's the closest I'll ever get to Elmer Keith's #5.
Any end-of-year gun purchases you couldn't say no to?

Yeah, I couldn't, ok.... wouldn't resist. It's not an S&W, not a revolver, not even a "proper" AR.
So, what tempted me? A CMMG Resolute in 9mm.
What WAS I thinking?? Well it takes my Sig 320 magazines. Should be a hoot in our plate matches. And... That's all I got for justification. Really, it was just a "want." As a wise person once said: "It's not too late for good childhood"
