Any Love For The Older Rossi’s ??

Interarms Era Rossi revolvers are not quite up to S&W standards but are pretty great at their price point.

I've got a M720 44 Special that though not as refined as a 696 are great 5 shot 44 Specials that aren't so expensive that you're wary of carrying them and about K frame sized so easier to carry.

My M68 is a copy of a Mod 36 and same as the 720 good enough for the price point.

The 518 22lr I have is a bit disappointing because it shoots way high even after adjusting the sights as much as possible. But for $200 it's fine for a stash gun.

All have pinned barrels except for the 518.

When Interarms stopped importing the Rossi revolvers, several distributors blew them out at ridiculous prices. My friends and I all ordered several. They were functional guns, but over the years I sold or traded off the ones I had.

One of my early handgun purchases was Rossi's version of the stainless S&W Chief's Special revolver. Total junk. It quit firing double action the first time that I took it to the range. My dealer sent it back for me to get repaired. When it came back, I sold it and bought a new Model 649 S&W. Still have it and added more S&Ws.

I had one of those in nickel. A handy little rifle. Sadly I sold it to a friend who sold it off too.
Now we're both sorry to have done so.
I see Rossi now has a new pump .22, but looks totally different with an odd trigger guard and different action.

Sadly taurus owns Rossi......Their plastic abomination .22 pump is ugly junk.

My bedside companion, M971. Fantastic trigger too.

I have one just like it without the muzzle brake.
After shooting it a buddy of mine asked "who did the trigger job?"
I told him "nobody, as far as I know it hasn't had one."
He couldn't believe that a stock Rossi revolver could have such a great trigger.

I've also got a little j-frame sized 38 special with a 3" barrel, as well as a j-frame sized 22LR.

They're all great revolvers. Of course they are all 30-40 year old guns. I have no idea what their newer production guns are like.
