I'm always curious about current training programs and I wonder how they compare with the gold standard.

Gunsite Orange means you were trained by Cooper while he controlled Gunsite.

API-250 in March, 1987. Dennis Tueller and William Harries (the guy who developed the back-of-the-hands-to-each-other flashlight technique) were my primary instructors there. A high-watermark time for me.

Tueller taught my firearms section at my state police academy in 1981 as well. The man is a tremendous instructor and a great guy.

I have had firearms training from John Farnham, Chuck Taylor and a few others as well. All good but Gunsite was an experience.

Thanks for that....

Brownies and lemonade at the Sconce,.....ah the good old days!
My favorite Cooper story is when he shot the gas meter. :)
Tom Siatos Interview Part 7 - Guns & Ammo

Anything I learn about these old greats doubles my knowledge. I think I'm going to spend the rest of my life being an old time gun aficionado. Why? Because they are lacking and the world needs them.:)

PS: Would have have jumped up and down, pointed and yelled, "NEGLIGENT DISCHARGE NEGLIGENT DISCHARGE!!!"?
