None that I've seen, besides one-off problems you'll get with any manufactured product. S&W ARs are built pretty well. Typically if there are problems with a gun, we'll get lots of "problem" threads here on the forum. The vast majority of Sport threads are positive.

I've only got 500 rounds down range, and have had no issues with mine. Aside from the usual grumblings of; "it has no forward assist or dust cover", I am not aware of any real issues.
Absolutely love mine.

I have about 800 rds through mine so far, and I have not had one single problem. The lack of a Forward Assist and bolt cover bothered me at first, but now it doesnt bother me one bit. In the end, it lowered the price of the gun. On top of that, Im not sliding around in the sand, throwing my rifle in the mud and water, or had the bolt not fully close. Take care of your rifle, and it will take care of you.

My only problem... keeping it fed. :)

It feeds, fires, & ejects the least expensive .223 steel cased Russian ammo I can find. It just eats up whatever ammo I put through it.

I have about 400rds through mine. I've had no problems.

THIS.
My Sport has a solid 4k thru it, and it's like the Honey Badger..... it doesn't give a chit!!!:D Hungry gun.

No problems. Above average accuracy with perfect function. I am using magpul magazines and red-dot Aimpoint from Sweden. Good rifle and a keeper for home defence.

thanks for all the replies , im picking my sport up in a week . my lgs has 6-10 in stock for around 639.99 ,is that going rate ?

thanks chris

Wow, my dealer must have some stoopid markup prices. I paid $750 for mine, which was still a good deal considering he was selling Bushmasters and a few other ARs for $1400 and up.

I got mine for $699 + tax from Cabelas. They had some Bushmasters with red dots for $799 + tax but I liked the M&P better.

Your dealer is ripping you off! The MSRP is $739. Seek a new source!

Found 2 locally last Friday for $618. Went in today and one is sold and I put the other one on hold. Hope to have it by Friday.

You won't regret your purchase! Customize the hell out of it.:D
