Any SIG fans in here?

One of my 229's is my daily carry. Recently acquired a 220 in great shape for under 500, very pleased with it. It's about to go into the carry rotation now that it's proven itself.

I have a P229 stainless steel elite. It's about as good as there is out there. No plastic guns please. :)

Now from a very armature pitcher taker... A 225 P/6. Was a real economical purchase, but shoots like a $1000. I guess I got a good one. I put Pachmayr grips on it. Good sticky feel.

I just picked up a P226ST. I've never owned a SIG before (although I've always been intrigued by them) and wasn't really planning on getting this one but it was offered to me as trade for another gun I had for sale. I was planning to take it to the range today but between the showers and flurries I'll take a pass.

That's a nice 228. I've had a desire to get another one lately. I can't find a deal like you did.

Here are some from the 80's and 90's, possibly before actually, since I bought them all used in the 90's:

On the left are two 226's in 9mm (that is all they made them in back then)
On the right are two 220's in 45.
The nickel guns are factory full satin nickel- a rather scarce variant back then. The black 45 is the "K-cote" option. All were in the original boxes when acquired.
All have Trijicon Nite-Sites. They either had them already, or I installed them. The Sig sight tool is a necessity if you fool with them much- DON'T start beating on Sig sights- it won't turn out well. The tool makes it a snap.

I like my 220 Match SAO in .45 ACP it is sort of an updated 1911. It has a 5" barrel and nice adjustable sights. It seems to be a good shooter as well.

Got lots of Sigs.
Great Guns, I started buying mine in the early 80s when I paid $259.00 for my first P220. Took it to the range, shot it, went back to the PD and ordered another. About three months later, they started importing the P226 and I ordered two. The Agency I worked for issued either, P220s in .45acp, P226s in 9mm or P229s in .40S&W, your choice. If you wanted to carry a BUG, it had to be a Sig. I carried a P230 in an ankle holster.

When I was a Chief of Police I carried a P220 and a Glock 21, both in .45acp. And still carried the Sig P230 in an ankle rig.
I was only a 30 officer department, so everybody had to work.

I have had 3 and never had a problem with any of them. The only one left is a 228 that is so old the night sights are dead.

The first one was an issue 226, which I took when they wouldn't let me carry my S&W 39 any more. It was a good replacement.

I like Sigs because the first shot double action feels a lot like a S&W revolver.

Just picked up a P228 today, mid-90s gun. Came with 5 factory 13-round mags. Doctor put a box of ammo through it and then stuck it away. Paid $600. Mint condition.

Was that the one floating around Hyatt's for a while now?

Sig fan here - 220, P6, 226. Very nice guns, all of them.

I have only this 9 mm Luger SIG:( .....but I'm a great fan of this gun.:D

swissman-fabulous gun,but you know that already. have you ever shot one with the 22lr kit installed or one of the 210's that are built as 22lr?

I seem to have an affinity (more like an addiction or sickness) for the ones from the country that is no more (Thank you Ronald Reagan)

I bought a 220 in 87, one of the first of the American release models in the U.S.

Reloading for it from the beginning, I've shot virtually every bullet weight at mild to wild +P and all bullet configurations from RN to SWC to HP and the round count is enormous!

I have yet to have an FTF, FTRB, anything at all really.

The +P loads were a mistake however. I ended up replacing the magazine latch. Too much oomph, magazine self released a few times and eventually wore out the latch. My bad. Top Gun Supply to the rescue! They really are the best!

229 two tone here in .40 caliber. Nice compact gun that I hit well with. I just scored 8 boxes of Federal 135 grainers for it. :)

It used to be my car gun, but I'm on a Model 58 binge right now. :D

Yep, I'm a Sig fan. The P226 series is one of my favorite double stack nines, especially the X-five.

Good day perrazi,

No, I didn't. But this Sunday was a guy at the range with a .22 kit. He owns two SIG 210. With one grippiece the kit works easy, with the other he got much problems. Missfires, etc.
The tension of the spring and the measure or the rails are very critical for such an heavy slide. Accuracy with the functional combination was very good @ 25 meters.
