I've been offered a ThunderFive as part of a trade and it's something I have no experience with and wondering what people think of it. From what I've read it's the original 45LC/410 handgun before S&W and Taurus came out with their offering.

Value seems to be equal to what I'm trading so thought I'd check what people think.

Thanks

I had one given to me for free years ago. Loaded with 45LC rounds the bullets would keyhole on a target 10 yards away and they would group about 10". Loaded with 410 birdshot the gun would shoot a perfect ring of shot around anything close you aimed at. I couldn't break a clay pigeon from 4' away because of this.

Overall I would say it was very well suited to be used as an interesting paperweight.

Believe it or not I sold it to a gun shop for $300.

If it's something you really want? I'm not sure if it has any collector value. They did use one in the movie "Three Kings" if you want to see one in action.

Now, that 3 lbs. actually works with my JXP10, but true beauty is "in the eye of the beholder"...

Actually, the Hi-Point may possibly be more... Attractive?

It really does have a "nice personality", though...?;)

Cheers!

P.S. How Ugly? ...so UGLY that when she's crying the tears roll down her back!

I remember when they were selling these new at gun shows. They were stacked like High Points on the dealers table.

I always that they were an answer looking for a question.
