Anybody use hornaday's zombie max ammo?

I'm pretty sure it's the same bullet as the FTX bullets just without the lower flash powder and nickel casing.

IMHO Hornady is not selling the ammo, they're selling the box. Get yourself some Winchester white box 115 Gr. JHP and leave the marketing gimmicks behind.

You DO realize zombies aren't real........ Right?

Personally, I buy silver bullets for the werewolves. ;)

There is a great documentary about zombies called the walking dead. I've been boarded up in my house for 4 years it scares me so much. Poor Atlanta it was such a great city

I love the walking dead and all, but I am so tired of this zombie merchandizing nonsense. I woukdnt put a penny into Hornady's pocket to but that ****, and that goes for zombie neon green grips, targets, Colt Pythons (I know they're not made anymore, but don't tell me the walking dead isn't a big reason why their prices are so high).

This **** is marketed to pimple squeezing kids living in Mom's basement.

I see no guarantee that this ammo will kill Zombies. Personal I prefer a shotgun 00 buck takes their heads right off.

I just bought it because it was on sale and I thought it was basically critical defense

Disclaimer: Hornady® Zombie Max™ ammunition is NOT a toy (IT IS LIVE AMMUNITION), but is intended only to be used on…ZOMBIES, also known as the living dead, undead, etc. No human being, plant, animal, vegetable or mineral should ever be shot with Hornady® Zombie Max™ ammunition. Again, we repeat, Hornady® Zombie Max™ ammunition is for use on ZOMBIES ONLY, and that's not a nickname, phrase or cute way of referring to anybody, place or thing. When we say Zombies, we mean…ZOMBIES!

Since I don't anticipate crossing paths with a zombie, guess I can spend my money on something else. Probably works best with a crimson trace laser.

I had some in 45 acp and it shot great from my Colt 1911 . Would get more .

I picked up a 25 round box of the 9mm ammo last night after reading it was essentially critical defense with green tips and brass casing. It was on sale and $5 less than a box of CD.
Now I read all of this stuff online that you shouldn't use it in your carry weapon because of legal liability as there website says it is only for use on zombies and not humans?
Is this seriously a concern?
I guess I will use it at a range and buy some federal hst or Winchester pdx if I can find them.
I was thinking about trying to return it to scheels as I see nothing on their website about ammo not being returnable

I think these would be worth hoarding / saving.
I think they will be made to stop one way or the other.
& your grand kids will get a kick out of reading the box, or who knows they may get to use them

It's ammo with a fun label. It's crazy how people go crazy about how irresponsible it is for the labeling or how much of a crappy product it is.

As a self defense ammo, I'd rate it between Critical Defense and bargain bin because it having a good bullet with the lack of low flash powder and nickel casing.
Would I use it? Only if I had to. Otherwise, it's fun to have a box and say I have zombie ammo.

If I run across any I will buy 2 boxes 1 to put up & the other I will empty & take my ammo to the range in it & make sure it is sitting in plain view :D

If you are worried about it... find some critical defense, use that.

Use the Zombie ammo to test function, as it is always a good idea to test your preferred carry round for reliability in your pistol. A couple of boxes of testing is a good minimum. And if the Zombie stuff
saves you a few bucks, then good.
