Hi, we just past CC here in Wisconsin. I expect to be enjoying this Right near the end of the year.

I currently own I Sigma SVE9. I love this weapon and over the years have become very comfortable with the trigger and balance. I would like to use this as my main concealed carry weapon.

I've looked at holsters, paddles, IWB and shoulder carry. The Sigma seems like it's just going to be to darn big to comfortly conceal.

While we also have had Open Carry here, and the CC permit should allow you to open carry anywhere you can cc, [unsure yet], my goal is true concealed carry. I don't want anyone to know or think I have a weapon.

I'm a Mid-Sized guy, 5"10 and 190lbs. So has anyone figured out how to comfortably CC a sigma 9?

I carried a 40VE IWB in a Kholster every day for several years. It was only a few months ago when a M&P40c took it's place as my EDC.

The Sigma is QUITE comfortable to carry concealed with good holster selection. Check out a Kholster or Crossbreed for a very comfortable IWB. Also, make sure to use a QUALITY gun belt (I prefer the Wilderness Tactical 5-stitch models).

Honestly it seems like I would have to adjust my pants waist size to accommodate the width of the Sigma. Is this something you had to do?

I have a SD9, darned near the same gun, and the most comfortable way I have found (except for a OTW holster like the black hawk that if almost open carry) the remora holster worn ITW at about 2 o'clock to be the most comfortable and hidden. not the fastest draw, but it works.

on that note after carrying this gun for a few months, and being forced to bag carry when i could not risk someone noticing the grip bulge, I have just ordered a j frame from my local shop and plan to make that my main carry.

No, not with the Kholster. Of course, it all depends on how you dress. If you like extremely tight jeans/pants, you're probably not going to find much extra room in them for even a smaller gun.

That's one thing about making the commitment to carry a gun with you all the time; at some point, compromises will have to be made. Frankly, I'd much rather "dress around the gun" and be able to carry a good fighting pistol, than to worry about being "in style" and be stuck with a little mouse gun.

That's my exact situation at the moment. So much to learn!

SW40VE was my first carry gun and mostly it was IWB with an Uncle Mike's soft holster. I have used lots of types, but I liked the Fobus paddle holster in cooler weather. My every day carry now is a Ruger SR9c in a Remora holster, but I still like how the Sigma feels and operates. Good luck getting your system working. Oh, and carry every day. My life may depend on it.

Hopefully you have some pants that are a bit looser fitting than some of your others, if not, yes, you might have to buy some a size larger. If you tend to wear tighter pants and plan on sticking a gun/holster combo in there, might not be real comfortable. Remember, at one point in your life, you got used to carrying a wallet, without feeling for it today, do you know for sure it's there? You could always rearrange your diet, add some exercise, then you'd have a closet full of 'carry' stuff. I carry a Sigma in a Milt Sparks.

Thanks for all the info. I actually decided to get healthier, walk and swim a few days a week. I could afford to lose 10-20 lbs.

Having concealed carry finally legal in Wisconsin is good for me in many ways :)

I use a passport paddle holster for my 9VE worn OTW at appendix level, lower right quadrant between belt and pants. I wear tee shirts, no problem, no print. I thread my belt on the outside of the holster and this holds the sigma in tight to the body. Don't even know its there.

I've been carrying my SW40VE in a Crossbreed Supertuck for close to a year now. No issues in the winter, but I've had to start wearing a loose fitting, button down, short sleeved shirt over a t-shirt to conceal it during the summer. No big deal and I actually look more put together than with the t-shirt alone. My wife appreciates it. :-)

I've also been able to conceal it well under a baggy T-shirt, but the grip will print in certain circumstances. All in all, it's been good.
