Anyone ever see Mesa PD issued S&W revos?

Howdy,

Curious if anyone would have info or if they ever stamped Mesa Police Department (Mesa, AZ) issued S&W revolvers. I have been told there was detective issued 66's from some supervisors but never been confirmed.

Any thoughts would be great. Thanks for reading.

Sorry, can't help but I used to have a Mesa PD 4006, no magazine safety and adjustable night sights.

I've seen a few Mesa PD marked 66s, but it has been a very long time. I think it was a range officer named Al that showed them back about 1998 or 1999. They were in laying in a parts bin in a room at the range.

In 1980 I saw two cadets with model 64s stamped like that at the Southern Arizona Law Enforcement Training Academy in Tucson.
