As do most, I love mine. Couple thousand rounds (mas y menos), through it with out a single hiccup. Eats anything it is fed without complaint. The three back straps insure a perfect fit for your hand and it points and shoots as well as any pistol I have ever used. Ideal for concealed carry and IMHO, very reasonably priced. Other than that....(o;
(as in "Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?")
Seriously though, one hell of a gun. You will be very happy. Check and see if S&W is still offering a cash rebate and extra magazines. That promotion made a great gun even better.

1650 flawless rounds so far. The trigger slicks up after about 500 rounds.

I did some point shooting, and combat type drills for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The first thing I notice was how well it points and shoots in "stressful" situations.

The trigger may not be a "range" trigger as far pointing at paper targets, but rapid fire while moving, and target differentiation it shines. My gun impressed me.

I think you will enjoy it, congrats!!

Cant say enough good about my M&P Compact,I was always a wheel gun freak until the Compact, very reliable, very accurate, very concealable, just a great gun, once you learn to control the trigger, and its very easy, you will love it and be surprised how well you can shoot it.

Just like everyone else who's posted here. This is one hell of a pistol, I love mine, great carry gun, eats everything, easy to clean and fun to shoot. I had a local gunsmith add the XS big dot sights and this pistol just can't be beat.

XS Sight Systems - Handgun Sights - S&W M&P Express

If you think you want the M&P 9C, don't think about it anymore and just do it.

Had mine a few months now and LOVE it! Several hundred rounds without a hitch. The Crimson Trace laser grips are just about the slickest application of that product on any weapon - a perfect fit!

9mm M&P

:D 1500 no problem rounds and currently my carry of choice.:) ended up getting additonal mags from Midway mostly for range use. You can't go wrong in my opinion. And as luck would have it 9mm fodder has been readily availble locally. I too have a bevy of wheel guns but for an auto she's a dandy Best of luck.

I have had my 9c for 6 months now and it is a great little pistol. I use it for ccw every day and it is most comfortable, very accurate for a small pistol. I like it so much I also bought an M&P Pro, this is also a great pistol. You can't go wrong with an M&P!!

You're really going to like it. Nice trigger pull, very accurate for a 3 1/2 inch barrel gun, easy to cc and 12 rounds. Shoots about any kind of ammo you feed it. Good luck and good shooting.

Thanks for all your information everyone. I am really glad it is such a great little gun. And from your responses it sounds like a lot of fun also, as the ammo doesn't cost an arm and leg like my .460's and my .44 magnums. Just wanted to thank you all and I have ordered it from Bud's, as soon as I get it I will give you an update. Gives me time to stock up on some 9mm while I wait. Thanks

About to buy a .9mm M&P compact and need to know how you like it? Thanks

Outstanding, and unlike the Glock 26, with its rounded slide, you can carry it in your pocket, so it occupies roughly the same outline as a 442 revolver, but instead of 5 38s, you get the equivalent of 12 38s (assuming you believe, as I do, that the 9mm is the equal, or perhaps slightly more powerful than the 38 special).

I've got one and it has been 100% reliable, excellent fit & finish, and great ergonomics. It only has one down-side… it's addicting. I now have a 40c and full-size versions in both 9mm and 40S&W.

Very nice compact in the plastic line. I have one but I also have two 6906s and like them better. Of course I do not carry and all my guns are shooters for my backyard range. I just do not like striker fired pistols. I want to see a hammer and I like the decocker feature of the 6906s. I usually don't change with the times. If I carried one I might feel different. I do like the 9c better than the other plastics that I have been around.

My main CCW is a M&P 9C. I ditto everyone's comments; great gun at a great price! I find that mine doesn't like 145gr. bullets as well as 115gr. The 145's are just a litle longer and don't seem to feed as well; it may be my problem not getting them loaded into the magazine well enough. I prefer 115gr. for higher velocity and deeper penetration anyway. Recently, I am seeming to have a problem with pressing my magazine release button when shooting. Has anyone else had that problem? Is something wrong with my grip? It seems to happen even when I'm paying special attention to my grip.
