I have an M15 and am very satisfied with it, but I wanted to add a 22 to my arsenal and came across this Rock Island AK22 at Bud's for 172.00 free shipping.
At the range yesterday a member was shootin a similar gun it was an ak22 Kalishnicov made in Germany by GSG a very well made rifle for about 339.00

There are a few companies making 22lr AKs. These have been out for years. I'm a fan of AKs, they are my main rifle but I have zero interest in anything 22lr.

If you are asking are they reliable. Yes they generally are ....BUT....they are not AKs. They are 22lr rifles in a shape of an AK.

I own a 22lr that I've shot maybe 100 rounds in 20 years. I don't find them relevant sorry

I had the gsg paid 150 bucks for it amd sold it that same year . Don't get me wrong it shot great and looked real but was a pain in the butt to clean.everytime u have to unscrew a bunch of **** just to get the bolt carrier out. I sold that and my gsg mp 5 to get my 15-22 and i never looked back slick guns has 15-22 for $368 right now spend the xtra and do urself a favor.

What kind and how much lol

For the OP, was there a question in your post? Are you asking what people's thoughts are on that specific rifle because you have settled on that rifle? Are you asking for suggestions for good 22LR rifles? It's not clear on what subject you would like feedback. If you want suggestions on good 22s, what is it you plan to do with it? Help us help you.

Decided not to

After reading all the quotes I think that because I like my M15 so much I will stick with the brand and get the 15/22 and not worry about regretting it later.
