Please take your weather back!!! It has rained twice here since mid-April . Once for a month and a half, and once for 5 weeks!

Alright already! We get it OK?

50 miles west of seattle and forget it mister, we are having GREAT sunny weather for over two weeks and another week or two to go and no way am I taken our weather back. HAH, bought time someone else felt the pain. Starting to grow webs between your toes are you?? Mildew crawling out your ears is it?

I feel SO sorry for you Whelgunner, just remember, keep ya powder dry! :)

Oh yea, it will be 87 degrees Friday and Saturday!!! YES!!

JOERM and Zilmo,

I am laughing my *** off right now. I was making my rounds today, and of course everybody I ran into on my route was talking about how miserable the weather has been for so long, and when was it going to let up. I said to one clerk that someone should call Seattle and tell them to take their weather back.

She said, "What do you think the weather is like in Seattle right now?" I told her that it was probably sunny and beautiful, as they most likely have OUR weather there!

To answer your question, yes. Everything is damp, musty, mildewy, and miserable! :( It will probably stop raining when it turns to snow! Anyone have the blueprints for an ark laying around?

Today was the first nice day this week.. so I mowed the lawns. Today is great actually... too bad the rest of the week looks bad here in Northeast PA.

My grandparents (both deceased now) lived in Port Orchard, WA. I remember when I was about 9 or 10, we went to see them. It was the year of the state fair and the introduction of the space needle (1977?).

I remember taking the ferry across the Pugent Sound to Seattle. I remember the produce and fish vendors lined up along the streets. I loved Seattle. I always said I would go back some day. :D

79 with a nice breeze in Gig Harbor WA(South Puget Sound).....just about right :D

june was amazing, it normaly is crappy, may is good, but this june.....no rain, just sun.

dont tell anyone......but it really doesnt rain in Western WA as much as we let on ;) I almost never wear rain gear in the winter, just a fleece.

born and raised in Gig Harbor, same with my folks(who live at the mouth of the bay( grandpa bought it 1946), best darn place to live, Seattle proper....not for me at all, but the rural areas are wonderfull.

Glock em, my grandfolks(grandma is 93) live on Lighthouse Point in Rich Passage(Port Orchard), in 1965 my grandpa(and Howard Roland) owned the whole point/cove. Namu(latter shamu) the 1st captive killer whale was kept in their cove for the winter.....I was one of the 1st to touch a killer whale, just a baby though. Grandma is still in the house they built in 1967.....93 years old doing wonderfull :)

there was a movie made in 1965-6 that was filmed at the cove, Lee Maryweather was in it if I recall, still pops up now and then on TV.

during WWII grandpa had a radio show(out of Seattle) about Victory Gardens and stuff like that, I have the album of it. If anyone was ever in 4H in Kitsap or had a farm, they new grandpa.

now I am just ramblin ;)

BTW, the space needle was built for the 1962(I think) Worlds Fair....time flies :D

Read it and weep. :)

Well, I know we weren't there in 1962, because I was born in 1968!

I do remember some type of fair or something though. I also remember digging for clams and cooking fresh clam chowder that night!

Mmmm-mmmm!!!

You guys almost made me miss the Seattle area. And then I came too my senses and realized how good it is here in Montana. Will be going back to see family in august. It is a very nice place(when you are not down town). I was born in a King County hospital.

Space Needle built for the Worlds Fair 1962'. The Monorail was built for the same fair. And, hasn't run 30 days in a row since, without a tranfusion tree full of money connected to it, that is!
Yes, this is the very best weather time of year in Seattle. It almost makes up for the weather being overcast/rainy for the other 9 months. That's why no one in Seattle gets a "tan", out here it's called "rust".

I have really gotten use to rain on July 4th and summer starting on July 5th. The folks in Western Washington will know what I mean. It's funny how I miss having a bit of rain when we go without for a few weeks. Seems like we need to get refresher or something. Keeps it all nice and green.

Actually if you look at the measured averages, New Orleans gets more rain per year than does Seattle-plus the food's better ;)

only thing I miss about the rain is......its a good excuse to do NOTHING.......but after 6 months...I am ready to come out of hibernation :)

Wish I could do that hibernation thing. But there is stuff to do around the place and chores and maintenance needs to get done rain or shine to keep the operation functioning. I much prefer to work in the rain or mist over working in high heat. I'm much more productive for longer periods of time.
