Anyone here into collecting swords and lances?

As I always try to make both business- as well as personal connections, I've come across someone who deals in medieval everything. Sometimes he gets offered collections and/or single items that are too new for his clientele. If that's the case he forwards me an email (cc) asking if I might be able to help out.

Do we have members here that are into collecting such items?

This particular collection in mostly 18th century swords and lances.

I was wondering if it could be worth it dealing in antiques...

Got to be a market somewhere for those items. Probably a forum on the net someplace. Those items take quite a bit of space to display. I have one sword.......my NCO sword from the Corps.

I know a couple of collectors of Crusader's weapons.

A lance from the Light Brigade would be so cool. But the interesting ones where all left on the field of battle in Crimea!
