Anyone here Patrick Swayzee fans?

Not really, but there are very few men I would fear loosing Mrs. Dom to, and he was the head of the list. Young, old, and even when he was sick, he was by far the man of her dreams. I have always taken comfort in the fact that if one where to loose your spouse to another, this is a story you could tell with little shame.... "Did you hear about Dom?..... his wife left him for Patrick Swayzee..."

Ahhh Roadhouse I probably know 90% of the lines. I have not seen it mentioned yet, but didn't he do a movie called Tiger Warsaw?

He did--it was made in 1988.

Oh yes, things can be a lot worse than losing ya wife to their male movie star heart throb....friend of mine lost his wife to a cop from a near by town.

The name of the cop was...... "Lorreta Louise"!
(not that there is anything wrong with that)

Lol. What do you guys want from me? I didn't think it was a good movie. To much randomness stuff or people just a pear, things just happen. I didn't say that the actors were bad people or anything just that I didn't like the movie

It aint just for this one.

Ringo, now you have brought up another "special" in your linked video.

That would be Donald Sutherland,(sp).... One of my all time favorite 3 or 4 minutes from a movie is him, as near the village idiot as you can get, playing the general officer in the movie "Dirty Dozen",inspecting the troops to aggravate the obnoxious colonel, Robert Ryan.

The "general" asked a soldier, which they all do, "where you from son " followed by a " NEVER HEARD OF IT". Poor kid. Actually the top inspectors always replied, "nice area, been there several times", no matter what town you said.

Ringo, I don't know what your occupation is,or was, but your expertise in bringing up these videos is impressive.

Years ago I was at a horse competition. Not a rodeo, a competition based on training, beauty, and breeding. Patrick Swayze was in the next area with his horse. I believe it was more his wife's passion, but either way My father, uncle, cousin and I spent quite a bit of time with him over the span of a few days. He was a supremely nice guy. I was still in high school, so this was late 80's, early 90's.

I watched Roadhouse on Amazon Prime last night. Fun movie. I have yet to see Red Dawn, which seems to be a cult classic, at least with the guys on this forum.

I think -- not sure about this, but pretty sure -- he had the misfortune of being an alcoholic, which probably contributed to his pancreatic cancer.

Heh heh, much appreciated and--The Dirty Dozen is one of my top favorites. Endless great dialogue and such. I kind of wondered if such a thing would happen on inspection==I mean for an officer to stop and ask questions--figuring that Sutherlands remark would never happen in real life.

My work history in a nut shell:
Convience store slave.
Stocker/security at Walmart.
Delivery of and cooked pizza for: Godfathers Pizza.
Dispatch Delivery for Southwestern Bell.
Owned a Lawn Care business.
Carpenter.
Delivery.
Pizza chef.
Law Enforcement till health decline.
Surveyer.
Trapper.
Self employed.
Trying to get a job in driving now--about halfway there.

It is a cult classic. I dodged my last two classes Science and Math) when I was in High School, in order to see an early showing of the movie. School was hard to escape from--and that theater bwas across the street and in plain view of the Principals and the head Coaches offices, also from both my last classes too.

Not disputing it but, I never heard him of having an Alcohol problem.

Hey Kid, awfully good to see you back Old Chap. :)
My wife is a bigger fan of Swayzee than I am. She likes Ghost and could watch Dirty Dancing five times a week.

Thank you sir, and his Next of Kin and Roadhouse, are ones ill watch every time. I like the music from Dirty Dancing but, I dont recall ever seeing Ghost?

One good thing in suddenly having more time, is I got two of four tests out of the way that I need in order to get the License I want. Ill be trying to get the other two done in the next two weeks.

Ghost is pretty much a chick flick. The only chick flick worth watching is
Thelma and Louise. The blow up a gasoline tanker and then do the right thing in the end.

Actually GHOST isn't too bad for a chick flick. Girlies all over the country were swooning over his pottery wheel scene with Demi Moore. A murder mystery and a couple of spooky paranormal scenes. Only bad thing is Whoopie Goldberg has a significant part.

Another one I kinda consider a chick flick--is: A Time To Love and a Time To Die. Set in Germany in WWII--John Gavin and Lilo Pulver. More romance than anything but--it was tastefully done in between the action and other drama.

Ahh, mentioning her--yep, ive seen moments from the movie but not from beginning to end.
