Anyone interested in Truglo TFO's for Shield?

Next question:
I've read here and there that some TruGlo TFO sight owners have posted that they have experienced a glow tube becoming dim as in illumination.
Are they replaceable?
Are there kits available?
Length of warranty?
If they are replaceable, can the average person do the switch?
Or does the whole sight platform need to be replaced?

Come on folks-several of you have posted about installing these sights on your full sized M&P, Compact or Shield and as of yet no one has answered my post? Did you not do your pre-purchase homework?

From the construction, it doesn't look like the tritium vials are user replaceable. It looks like they may be "potted" into place with epoxy.

There is a definite lifespan for the tritium, but it ought to still produce a goodly amount of light for about ten years.

The usual reason for tritium light failure is a vial that cracks and leaks. There is a REASON why NOT to use a punch to "drift" the sights into position, and it is stated in the instructions that a sight pusher or press tool should be used, though I've seen post after post from people who seem to have gotten away with using a punch... I wonder how may of these had one or more lights go dim a few days, weeks, or months later?
