Anyone know sights for the 10XX series?

I'm expecting a 1026 sometime next week (if all goes well) and I'll probably need to upgrade the sights on it to some new night sights.

I'd prefer Meprolights, but it looks like they only have sights available for newer models with the 45 cals probably being the closest.

Are the sights on the 10s the same as some (any) of the other S&W models so that there might be a substitution?

Does it already have night sights? I got mine from smith, or if they are faded trijicon will replace the inserts for a very reasonable price

It has the standard white three dot.

The 1076 I have for sale locally has factory nites, but they are dim.

Bill, the 1026 will be shipped overnite the day the mo arrives (except the weekend-don't want it sitting at a UPS site waiting for delivery).

3 places to check for sights... MMC sights, champion sights and Novak's

I think your gun is before S&W went to the Novak Lo-mount for fixed sights, but I think odds are good that you'll find a suitable replacement at one of those sites.

Gunhacker thanks especially for the links. Champion Sights is not one that I'd heard of before and it looks like they have a Novak style that's similar to the Meprolights(I like the white outline style). I'll have to have a look at the sights when I get the pistol to see if they might be compatible.

dvutah If you didn't get the mo today, then I'm pretty sure it will show up on Monday ... unless you've got a mail carrier like mine
