Anyone order bullets from Penn Bullets?

There was a thread going on bullet suppliers and Penn Bullets was mentioned.
Anyone order from them? Experience good, bad indifferent?
Seems to have a well layed out web site with good information. Prices may be a bit higher than some, but if it is a good product and timely delivery maybe worth it??

Based on my limited experience with them, I would suggest that you want to make sure to talk with Bob Palermo and find out whether what you're ordering is available or will be available soon.

My usual course of action with gun-related items is to not pester someone after placing an order. That turned out not to be the way to go with my first email order from Penn - some of the more unusual things I ordered were not available at the time, and Bob was busy and not able to email to let me know that. Upon my finally talking to Bob (a friendly man who's busy for a reason), I was able to get things resolved quickly.

Penn's product is absolutely fine - again, there's a reason that Bob is busy.

That said, I order from TVB now, myself.

Right. If your needs coincide with his current production schedule go for it. If not you may end up waiting several months.

Common bullet sizes and weights, couple weeks to a month wait.

I've been waiting for some 115 LSWC 9mm, for two months now.

Bob's a great guy and makes a great bullet. He has cut back on some of his less popular bullets.

But they can be slow at times. They are worth the wait.

Thanks. I sent him a e mail which he replied to right away as far as price but nothing about time or avalability. I wrote him back and will see.

Penn is my bullet of choice. Just be sure to order enough to hold you for awhile because they can be slow. Like already said they run behind for a reason. Absolutely superb bullets and for me worth every minute of the wait!

I ordered some once via email; got his confirmation but I never got my bullets. He didn't charge me either.

i have ordered from penn and received quality bullets.the thing that turned me off is i placed my order in aug. and received them in nov.

Well, I ordered 2000 bullets this morning. I spoke with the "president" Bob. Very nice guy but as you say. he only produces x number of bullets at a time and only certain batches of specific bullets.

Will just have to wait and see what comes and when??.

I'll place some orders elsewhere and it will be like Christmas in July
