I've been wanting a truck for awhile now and am looking hard at a new Ram (2018). I most likely would go a crew cab with the V6 since I have no plans to tow. Any thoughts or insights would be greatly appreciated.
Not sure why anyone would buy a new truck with a six cylinder . . .

Not everybody tows or wants sports car levels of performance.
Yeah, but unless you're planning on dying in it, you gotta sell it or trade it at some point. No self respecting redneck in these parts would even open the door to look at the inside . . .
My dad learned this lesson hard when he ordered a truck just like he wanted, which was just like nobody else wanted. He went to trade it, and the dealership wanted him to pay them to take it . . .

The Ram six cylinder engine is rated at 17 mpg city and 25 mpg highway and has 305 hp. My 99 Ford F-150 V8 only had 220 hp and got about 18 mpg on the highway.
I have an 2003 without a spot of rust anywhere, but it seems to be a hit and miss thing as other guys on the Ram forum have rust and some don't for the same year truck? Maybe it depends on who's at the controls that particular day of rust proofing. lolSeems like every Dodge truck more than a few years old I see has body rust over the rear wheels. Has Dodge solved that problem?
The Hell you say!Not everybody tows or wants sports car levels of performance.
Get the Hemi, you won't regret it. ALL vehicles have their "inherent" problems, NOBODY has an issue free vehicle. The Ram is definitely the best looking truck on the road.I've been wanting a truck for awhile now and am looking hard at a new Ram (2018).
