Just wondering if anyone has polished a Model 627 8X Performance Center? The reason I'm asking is that I bought one recently that had been used for a really good price. I could not see any issues with it under the fluorescent lights of the LGS. When I got it out in the daylight I observed small rust spots which may or may not be pitts. The gun is otherwise in great shape and came with the box. As I can be anal about my guns I was wondering what it would look like if I polished it.

If anyone has any photos I would appreciate posting them.

Thanks,
Bill

Hey Bill, fellow Tar Heel here (China Grove), and even though it has been ten years did you ever end up polishing your 627 to a high gloss? I've got a 627 and might like to try it but for some reason I can't find anyone who has done that. All the best, Charles.

No. I traded it for a Model 19-3 Texas Ranger commemorative. Never warmed up to the gun.

Okay, thanks for responding sir. I'm still trying to figure out if I can live with the bulk of it. Take care, and enjoy your Texas Ranger, beautiful piece.

Not a 627 but it's polished.
