Bought this base online (Gunbroker) from a gunsmith in Wardensville, WV. for $10 plus $12 s/h, plus he wanted a certified check or postal money order. No CC or personal checks.

There is no way that it will fit any of my S&W revolvers, holes are way off, and is not milled to fit my 686. I contacted EGW and they replied that 2440 is not a current stock number.

Contacted the gunsmith, relayed the EGW info and he basically called me a liar and said send it back (my cost) and he would reimburse me only $22

My question is does anyone recognize this base?

The seller has a lot to learn about customer relations...You might ask at a local gun store or show and ask to try lining up the holes with guns on display......Ben

I believe Protocall Design got it..I found one that looks identical but I guess I can't post "for sale" links?

There is one on the Midwest Gun Work web site that sure looks like it.
