Curious about the accuracy/reliability of the 10/22 AR platform...???

Pistol grip + detachable magazine = no go for Kalifornistan. I think the flash suppressor is illegal here as well.

Wait a minute... Flash suppressor on a .22LR?

It should be as accurate & reliable as any other 10/22. Maybe more accurate out of the box since it won't have the pressure points like the standard stocks and you can put some sights on it that actually work.

Jeff Quinn posted about some fairly amazing accuracy, in his Gunblast review. I have read similiar reviews elsewhere. Evidendly you can use the same add ons as most 10/22s....trigger groups, etc...

Just wondering if anyone here has tested one?

I have one and love it. Shoots great. Only problem I had was it doesn't like cheap Blazer ammo. FTE problems with it. I use the CCI Tactical High Velocity and never had a problem since. The Ruger BX25 mags are great too.

I just traded my Polish Tantal AK-74, for a used Ruger SR-22 rifle. It is an accurate rifle {free floated barrel}, not to light and whippy, just the way I like it. I have a problem with the top reciever scope screws coming loose. One was replaced by the original owner...and I stripped that one. Will have to order another set of allen bolts {3} for the top of the reciever; and too find a way to keep them tight. The lower reciever screw bolt tends to come loose, but not recently...since I blue Locktited it. The metal lips, and followers, on the Ruger Mags tend to last forever; so far. It loves Blazer ammo!!!

The followers on the Pro Mags, seem to wear out very quickly {50 round drum}.

Operating the forward trigger guard button safety, on the SR-22, is slower than operating a AR-15 safety.

I may never go back to my two dedicated 22 AR-15 uppers, cause they have many FTE's, a few OOB's and the magazine lips wear out faster than anything.

No FTE's or OOB's with my SR-22, after about 8,000 rounds. The only negative's are the top reciever allen screws coming loose, and the location of the safety.

You can get titanium screws on ebay for them. Won't strip out. Use loctite on the top screws too.Mostly my 13 yo daughter that shoots it.
