I spent last weekend in a great class in which we used airsoft "glocks." Someone there recommended Beamhit to me, as he knows I prefer revolvers to semis. They are not cheap, so I wonder what forum members have to say about them. (If you haven't heard of it, Beamhit is a laser system with some object that you insert in your own revolver and shoot at a target that tells you when you have hit it.)

I also searched for airsoft revolvers on the web and they don't seem heavy enough to me. And they don't seem expensive enough to have a decent trigger.

What I want is something I can practice with in the back yard, as I am an hour from the nearest gun club.

I have an "Airsoft" pistol that's an *exact* duplicate of my Kimber 1911 that I practice with. It's a Shibuya Custom Works model, and while it wasn't cheap, the fit, finish, feel, and balance are so close to my Kimber to be downright scary!
I've never tried an "Airsoft" revolver, so I can't answer questions about that type, but using mine has definitely helped me improve my draw, and my marksmanship.

there is a co2 powered copy of the 686 made by Umarex (I think I have that spelled right

) that is supposed to be realistic; they run about $200...if you search on gunbroker.com you should be able to find one; h-shop usually has them listed.

Thanks guys. I asked this on the semiautomatic site and no one has responded, so forgive me if I ask here again. Has anyone tried the S&W airsoft 1911?

Reading your first post reminded me of a product I'd seen advertised years ago. I'd wanted to try one but never did and thought they were long gone. So I did a simple search, and found it.

Hi, Jeffery
The only airsoft guns I've seen used in training were Glock clones. Everybody was quite surprised when they saw my Kimber clone! My son is heavily into airsoft and paintball, and he tells me the most important thing is who made the replica you're interested in. There's some real junk out there. There's also a ton of airsoft sites that have gun reviews, so you should be able to find some answers with a bit of Googling.
