I am making some french onion soup. It's simmering nicely on the stove. I've got the bread cut up-buttered and ready to toast. I've grated the cheese and am enjoying a nice cabernet while waiting for the soup to finish.
Angus walks by and I notice something on his jaw. IT'S A WHISP OF SHREDDED CHEESE
I run to the kitchen and there is no cheese on the chopping board, no buttered bread pieces ready to toast
Onion Soup just does not taste the same without a nice piece of toasted Rye bread in the bottom with melted guyere cheese on top.
