I just finished installing the Apex Aluminum FSS kit in my full size 45. All I can say is hot damn, what a great trigger!! Since I live in MA it had a horrific 11lb trigger out of the box. Since it's a range gun I put the lighter 4lb spring in it. Now it pulls at a sweet 3.5lbs. I'm not a gun smith but it was surprisingly easy to install by watching videos on YouTube. The hardest part for me was getting the pin into the trigger bar. Although the pin is part way in the trigger that Apex includes, it's incredibly tight! If you're hesitant to put one in, just do it as its worth every penny. If I can do it, so can you!

You ain't just whistling dixie

I totally agree with you about the Apex trigger kit. I installed the polymer FSS kit in my FS 9mm and the difference is like night and day. I was lucky to shoot 6"-8" groups at 7 yds out of the box but yesterday I went to the range and was shooting consistent 2" groups. I was shooting as good with the M&P as I usually do with my 1911 and that never happens. With maybe 1/8" takeup and an almost 1911 break it was a joy to shoot. I recommend to anyone who is unhappy with their stock M&P to install the Apex FSS kit. Like you I'm no gunsmith but watching a video on Youtube and taking my time it took me maybe 2.5 hrs total to do it. If I had read the comments of the video I would have seen the trick that would have saved a lot of frustration getting the trigger pin through the frame and trigger and trigger return spring. If you put the slave pin in before dropping the new trigger in you will be able to push the pin right on through. Here's the link to the video I watched which in my opinion is better than the videos Apex has posted.
