Reply to this thread for a chance to win; tell a joke, say hi, whatever works. Please keep it to one entry per person.

The winner must be within the 50 United States and able to receive shipment of the parts via USPS Priority Mail.

This give away starts.....NOW!! and will close as of 7-26-10 at 5PM PST. Tell your M&P owner friends about it and get them to sign up and enter too.

The winner will be chosen on 7-27-10 by a double random system I've devised.

Me first

No joke here, but love the sear and would love the entire kit, so pick me.:D

M&P .45 FS here. I like my own trigger work. But would like to try yours. :)

Comp. Action Kit Please.

Scott, I'm unsure as to how you plan on selecting the "winner". Will it be a random/blind drawing or are you going to select one of us based on our witty entries? Whichever it is, please count me in!

Can you provide us a little info about each kit and the differences in trigger/firing characteristic(s)?

Count me in. But, I ain't tellin a soul. I get greedy when it comes to quality stuff like Apex puts out. Shhhhhhhhhhhhh....

Hey, do you have a favorite charity I can donate to:D

I have two M&Ps and would love to upgrade with your fine product.

Please enter my name in your drawing.

Please add me to the list. I've been dying to try one of these out. Even if I win the decision would be next to impossible.

Scott-

Thouroughly enjoy the 2 kits I have purchased. If I win, I guess I will have to buy another gun...

I never won anything before. Hope I can break the streak now. These are great parts.

Just put a "carry" kit in my (relatively) new M&P40C Monday night.... Shot it Wednesday night....

Worth it!

About the only issue was that the video didn't seem to mention the roll pin in the trigger group. Unless I missed that....

A roll pin punch should be included in the kit - at $90-ish, the extra $0.25 oughtn't be a problem.... I had one, so no problem. (Don't try this without one!)

The videos I found were kinda out-of order, IMHO. You want to do the whole sear job - the "Hard Sear" and the new spring - at the same time, although removing the new sear to put in the spring isn't the end of the world. Swapping the trigger spring is super-easy if you remember to put the supplied "helper" pin in with it's "pointy" (well, "rounded") end facing the direction you want to push the pin eventually. The drop safety plunger is a separate mod, IMHO, but other than probably needing a sight pusher in many cases, really easy. (I have one.) It also seems to be better to do the trigger while the sear assembly is on the bench, but I'm not sure if that's right or not. Just how things ended up here.

I'll probably put one of these in my M&P40FS soon - the VISA needs to get some breathing done :D.... I also have a couple friends I want to try the different versions. I let one guy test it tonight. He couldn't tell what I'd done until I told him in detail - he doesn't know how to clean his 1911 :D, but picked the Apex-equipped Compact as "much better!".

IAC, you don't have to be a gunsmith, but it's a whole lot tougher than swapping backstraps.

I don't claim to be a gunsmith myself, but if you're a 1911 guy who'd rather fix things yourself, you're ready to handle this. Or if you have a KelTec and prefer not to mail it to FL every couple weeks.... (For a while my P3 wouldn't fire more than a couple shots without something breaking. It's feeling much better now. You really don't want to take the sear assembly out of that thing unless you're swapping grips - being the whole plastic "frame".)

Regards,
