Apology to Midway

Last week I posted a rant about Midway charging me shipping to return and replace a defective magazine. I was really upset because I thought they had charged me shipping both ways to correct what was their error. Well it turns out I was wrong. Midway answered the complaint I submitted today.

It turns out I read the invoice incorrectly. Instead of changing me shipping both ways they credited me my shipping costs to return the mag (without me asking) and covered the shipping cost for the exchange.

I apologize to Midway. They in fact did provide excellent customer service. Please pass the word.

I am not sure the damage hasn't already been done but at least you are trying to repair what you can. I've always had good luck with them. Sometimes their prices are a little higher than elsewhere, but I do think there is a certain value received for the money spent. :)

WELL, I GUESS THAT I HAVE TO APOLOGIZE TO MIDWAY ALSO, BECAUSE I JUMPED RIGHT IN ON motorcyclejoe's SIDE. (WE JOES STICK TOGETHER) I STILL THINK THAT THEIR SHIPPING CHARGES ARE HIGH, HOWEVER…..
 
The apology is a nice touch.

Midway has a good range of products, fine customer service, and fast shipping. Their prices are competitive, but their shipping costs are generally a little higher than others. They are my go-to for many items related to reloading and fixing guns, the first place I check.

A note to Midway may not hurt either. I've found them to always be fair to the customer. Good on ya' for apologizing! Too little of that today...
 
IMO, their shipping charges have gotten somewhat better. Always had good CS from them and shipping has always been pretty quick.

I've seen a few other places that shipping was even more than Midway's, so I don't even check those websites any more.
 
I definitely don't begrudge Midway their shipping charges, by any means. The speed of their shipping is exemplary. Doesn't that count for anything? It darn sure costs THEM more to do it this way than a more lackadaisical shipping "when we get around to it" approach. Kudos to motorcyclejoe and to Midway as well.

Great response from a humble man. I also use Midway and so far they have been fair. From where I live it is 192 miles to Midway, and 3.25 hours away. At 20 MPG gasoline usage that is about 9.1 gallons each way. I can be in my house, place an order for something I know is in stock and will be shipped, have it brought to my door the next day, and 2 bricks of 22LR cost me about 16.95 to ship. Which is the better deal? No doubt about it. If I want some other items, they can be included at very little additional freight. From where I live it is at least 120 miles to a place (big box store) that might have something less expensive. So, I appreciate having the option of being able to purchase things that I want or need, even if it does cost extra for shipping.

Long, long, ago, Midway had FREE shipping. Wouldn't it be nice today!
