Are you content with your choices in firearms? If you could never purchase another firearm, do you have what you want/need?

After many years of buying/selling/trading, I’m content with my choices. The fit, feel, ergonomics, caliber and capacities are sufficient for my anticipated needs.

I decided that I wanted something for pocket carry and that I wanted to stick with 9mm. I’ve dumped my .380s and went back to the Sig P365. I’ve owned a couple of others. I had forgotten how small these actually are. I purchased grip extensions for the two mags that give my pistol the same full grip size/feel of the P365X. I also purchased another factory mag with a pinky extension that makes it suitable for pocket carry.

A couple of years ago I dumped my .38s/..357 due to ammo costs. However, I just picked up a Ruger Security Six. Something that had been on my wishlist for about 10 years. It will serve as an outdoors/trail gun.

Lastly, I have my beloved 1976 Browning Hi Power, one of the finest combat handguns ever produced, IMHO! I foolishly sold it but was able to get it back on trade a year later. Home defense/zombie apocalypse/concealed carry.

I also own a couple of shotguns. I’m pretty content with my choices! The only thing I am lacking at the moment is a good rifle. Ideally, it would be a Ruger M77/.357 or a lever action.357. Barring that, a bolt action.243 would be the second choice.

I have every need cover. But please don’t tell my wife…… I still have a few wants. OP as for the 77/357. U will love it. I recently bought my son and I both 77/44s. Could not be happier with them. He took a deer with it last week. I would imagine the 357 is the same overall quality.

The only reason I would consider.357 is to have a companion for my Ruger Security Six.

Well covered just don't want to let the atf to know😳🇺🇸

Having all that I need is not having all I want. I'd like a S&W model 20 with a 4 or 5 inch barrel, a Colt Metro Mk3 and a pre-64 Winchester Model 70 African.

I’ll be content once a SFP9CC is available and in my possession, until then my BG 2.0 works fine!

I wouldn't completely rule out my next one, but I don't think that there is one. I probably have close to twice as many firearms, mostly handguns, as I need, and that's without dismissing duplicates of favored ones.

I recently sold a half dozen knives or so, and still have everything covered twice or more, if that tells you anything.

I've been collecting/accumulating for almost 30 years, I don't need anything, firearms wise. I do have a lot of wants! I'm at the point where I'm indifferent if I get it or not.

I'm pretty happy with the ones I have and probably won't buy any more at my age. Were I half as old though, there are a few more I wouldn't mind adding.

Just like a lot of folks here I'm well beyond real needs.

I'd still love to have a select fire M16, or a registered full auto trigger pack for my HK SP5 and SP5K.

Unless I hit the lottery that I never play, I won't be dropping $30K+ on either.

I’ve been insanely blessed to own the guns I do. The only gun still on the *list* is a fine antique double rifle. There’s a host of guns I would love to own if the opportunity presented itself, but realistically my collection is already way better than the likes of me should possess.

So yeah, I’m content.

There's always some handgun in my future, but if I quit buying anymore from here on out I am fine. I pretty much have it covered from large to small....but I would like to have a new Python... 😊

I have every "useful" firearm I want. I have many that haven't been fired since the 20th century. Sold a 6" 27-2 back in September, fired it once since I got it from member "Xsteinauge" when I 1st signed up here. More will go so others can enjoy them in their turn. I do have a complete lower, BCG and charging handle though so another "M4gery" might appear in the safe. I've seen uppers for $150 so...........Joe

I own fewer than 10 guns. I haven't bought a gun in 10 years. If I never buy another I'll be fine.

Having said that we will be moving to our Daughter's ranch in Eastern El Paso County when our lease is up. I'm considering a shot gun for when we move out there.

I am content no matter if I have or do not have what I need, or if I have or do not have what I want

There is no doubt that I have more than I need

However that has zero effect on what I want

For most of this week a buddy and myself have been discussing the design of a new integrally suppressed 22 rifle barrel. We will machine at least one for each of us. While we do not need these things, we both enjoy the challenge of designing them so once we have designed them we want one

Then of course I am also certain that new designs and releases of firearms will also add to the things that I want.

On this day I can say that I am thankful to be living in the greatest nation on Earth so that I have the ability to acquire these things

Thankfully in America we are not limited to only owning those things that we need but we are allowed to own those things that we want
