Buddy is visiting and this sign has him confused:

Is it additional training to conceal carry on campus? Is Arkansas a “May issue” state?

Has he looked up what Act 562 of 2017 is (presumably a State law)? You don't have to be an attorney to read law, just to make professional utterances about the law. :)

Or, he could ask the proprietors what they meant.

What is Act 562 of 2017?

Act 562 (commonly referred to as House Bill 1249 or “Campus Carry”) allows a concealed-carry licensee with a newly created concealed-carry endorsement to carry a concealed handgun on the campus and in the buildings of a public university and various other places including state
offices.

So, a normal CCL is not good enough to get into that place while carrying a concealed weapon.

Correct, you'll need an 'enhanced concealed carry' which requires additional training to acquire.

It was passed in the last Arkansas legislative session and seemed to be an honest attempt to clean up a previous attempt to clean up the carry laws in Arkansas. It's actually only made things more confusing.

Texas Signage

This is legal child's play compared to Texas' signage babble requirements, including bilingual 30.05 (long guns), 30.06 (concealed), and 30.07 (open) signs that must be minimum size lettering and prominently displayed at entrances. Some snowflake businesses, most notably Starbucks, opt not to exclude concealed carry, but Texas is different, thank God.

I looked it up and it mentioned additional training for campus carry, but this sign is at a state park... Texas does have different signs, but you know immediately if it is a legal posting or not. Why would you need exrtra training to carry in these places. If your state has reciprocation with Arkansas can you carry in these area’s?

What is sad is the legislator that drove the act was beaten on Nov 6 by the voters in Washington county Ar. Jeff

Those are questions you should seek and answer yourself, or hire an attorney to do it for you. Asking on a national gun board about the laws of one state is likely to get you answers you cannot depend on to keep you out of jail.

That's a pretty official looking sign and should deter any bad guy with a gun from entering the property. I for the most part don't do business with places that are posted.
