I was looking on Buds website Sunday night and saw that they had over 10 of the Ruger AR 556 and that many of the S&W Sport. Now they are out of both. Also my online ammo supplier is running behind in their shipping. Wonder how long this is going to last. I don't need anything but feel very sad that people are dying because of a nut with a gun. I am getting up there in age and I know that people do not like to hear it but I miss the good days when people did not just start shooting people.

It's the people, as you know, not the guns. It is 320 million people, it is social media, it is tv and video games. There were plenty of guns around back when kids took their shotguns to school in September so they could go straight to the dove fields later in the day. There were plenty of guns around back when kids took their rifles to school to compete in various matches. There were plenty of guns around back when anyone could walk into a hardware store and buy a gun, no NICS, no 4473s. Nobody was committing mass murder in those days.

Hello choir - all together now -

IT IS NOT THE GUNS!!!

of course it is not the guns not very many dumber than a rock liberals around here. I was 17 or 18 one day and walked into a hardware store and bought my first handgun a Ruger Super blackhawk. made the money stocking shelfs after school and no one cared. I think it set me back me $179

Why on earth would someone not like the days before mass shootings? I was a teen when the first shooting occurred by a sniper on a tower in TX. One of the victims lived in the next block from us in Dallas, she was pregnant. She was shot and lost her baby, but she survived. We have Charles Whitman to thank for starting it.

I was picking up a chuck key at the local equipment store, they are down the street from Bear Creek Arsenal. From what he told me they are having a hard time keeping up with orders.

At one time they were selling AR's for 400 bucks. I have never wanted an AR, but I bet some of the local young adults are keeping the gun shops busy doing transfers.

I heard David Hogg is up for the AR salesman of the year award...

I stopped by my LGS earlier this week and they have not had a run on their supply of AR15s, yet . . .

The few around here sure have! The wall in photo has always been full of AR's - this was yesterday.

I haven't looked but it doesn't seem like anyone is worried.

I did purchase 1,000 rounds of some ammo I refer but it's because of the type (5.7mm, SS198). I feel pretty confident that we have enough of the other calibers.

If our politicians start acting even more stupid, at least I'll have enough to last a while.

CNN published a yellow journalistic piece about some guy in California.

He had an "arsenal" in his bedroom. They made a huge stink about basically nothing.

I believe young adults (18-20) will be getting their hands on ARs while they still can.

Let the buying begin. I wonder if the media has stock in the ar15 manufacturers.? Everytime they mention a ar15 ban the sales automatically soar.

I went to a big gun show a couple of weeks ago here in KC and one table had a sign saying "AR KITS $299". I stopped and asked to see one, and the guy said they were sold out. This was late on Sunday, the second day of the show, so they had two days to sell it out. I should have asked him how many they started with.

I picked up the 625-6 and 624 from my FFL which happens to be a nearby pawn shop. I asked about her AR sales or rifles in general. Said she had not sold a single rifle of any kind.

I blame tv. The internet. Social media. Video games. Times have changed so much in the last 20 years alone. I use to keep a gun in the back window of my truck when I went to school. Nobody cared. Nobody got hurt. My truck didn't lock. And I'm only 38. But it's a small town. Probably different in the bigger cities. But you sure can't do it today. Not even here. I'm rambling. Sorry. Ar's are still plentiful here We also took shotguns for 4H trap shoots to school.

Obviously, something has gone wrong. These FBI charts can't be right? AR's are killing thousands. I heard it on the news. But these charts show that rifles, all rifles, are used far less in all murders than knives, hands & feet, blunt objects, even shotguns. These FBI charts can't be right. Must be some evil NRA conspiracy.

I've shown these charts to my liberal friends and they refuse to even address the FBI statistics. They don't want to acknowledge that knives, hands & feet, and blunt objects are used far more than rifles. They just want focus on the mass murders of late and the AR-15. Don't confuse them with the facts.

My heart breaks when I see these multiple loss of lives, especially young lives. My heart breaks for all the lives lost in multiple single murders also. But, it' not on the large number of single murders were the media hype is at or the emotional outrage.

It's not just AR's. I was talking to one of the salesmen at the handgun counter of our local Buds retail store earlier this week. He said that in one day last weekend he sold 50 guns!

Well I'm sorry but I don't see any skyrocketing sales in my area. Visited 2 large retailers in my area yesterday and they had no lines at the cash registers and racks (plural) of modern sporting rifles available.

No need to be panic-buying an AR15 right now.

History most definitely repeats itself
Man, does it ever. Haven't seen it so much personally because MA dealers aren't allowed to sell ARs since the 7/20/2016 MA AG decree, but reports from neighboring states are that business is brisk. The gun-grabbers never seem to learn.

We have a show near Boston today after a terrible bout of nasty weather, trees down, power outages, cancellations and flooding. It will be interesting to see what attendance is like.

Northwestern MT doesn't seem to be affected. I spent part of last Wednesday visiting a few LGS locations in the Kalispell area to help alleviate a case of cabin fever. In the process, I picked up a few items, including a couple of spare mags, ammo, and a couple of small accessories. All of the stores had a good supply of AR models, ammo, and acccessories. None of them reported an increase in AR sales.

Another human failing is that of mass hysteria. Get ready for some awesome revolver deals.

I wonder if we're missing the gun sales because of there peak hours. Online when we look up a LGS it lists peak hours of business. The weekends must have the sales soaring. The ar is banned here and everything else is registered anyway.

Well, guys, I have to admit to being concerned this time around. Given Trumps idiotic remarks...who knows?

I was going to downsize my AR collection, but I'm going to hold for now. And I just picked up another 30 AR mags and four more 33 round glock mags.

I've put them away in a climate-controlled room in a storage container, "just in case."

I have all the spare parts I need and just bought two more complete lower part kits from BCM.

I'd rather have, than not need, than need and not have.

YMMV.

When I was seven or eight, my father took me downtown to Huske Hardware in Fayetteville, NC and asked to look at a Browning .22. The salesman wanted to know if I wanted to shoot one. I said yes and we traveled to the 3rd floor where they stored baled straw and such. He showed me how to load the rifle and told me to shoot one of the bales. I got done, my father handed him the correct amount of cash and we walked out the door with the rifle, sales receipt and a nice zippered case. I still have the rifle and the case. The rifle still looks and shoots great. I am 65. I don't think this society is making progress.

I was in Palmetto State Armory last week. The salesman looked pretty tired. He said sales had been brisk.

I am of the opinion that ammunition may become more of a challenge to purchase as soon as Trump leaves office. I am stocking up.
