I'd run Speer Gold Dots 135 gr.+P Short Barrel. But, they are hard to find.

Nice looking 342 Ti.

Brutal gun to fire. Seems to recoil even more strongly than my 340s. Of course, the damaged nerve tissue in the web of my hand doesn't help. The only load I tried that would not jump the crimp was an old box of Federal 125gr JHPs. Whatever load you decide on, you MUST run a box through the gun to ensure this does not happen.

I've almost got a 342ti. :) I put a titanium cylinder on my 642-1. Got the weight down to 12 ounces even with Altamont wood boot grips. I just recently went back to Uncle Mike boot grips to help mitigate recoil, at the expense of adding 0.9 ounces.

I carry mine daily, loaded with the aforementioned Speer Gold Dot +P.

Edit - And congrats on your purchase!

My M442(Ti)

I'd like to see your 342ti on a scale...

Just keep it loaded with wadcutters and call it good ;)

The hottest factory ammo you can put thru yours is I believe Buffalo Bore heavy 158gr+p SWCHP. Clocks 1000 FPS in your gun which is awesome for 38 special thru a snub. Item 20A from Buffalo Bore. And yes, your gun with lightweight wood grips is easily under 12oz. Nice buy.

I will second this. I had one and over the years the arthritis in my right hand got to bad to shoot it without max pain. Sold it bought something a bit heavier

You’re going to love carrying it but range time may be another matter. My EDC is a no lock 340PD. No magnum loads, +P only for me.
