ASP

I saw one at the LGS within the last month, they were asking $5,000 but I do not know what it ultimately sold for. too rich for my blood.

Hello Rod, sent you a PM. Is yours stamped ASP, Appleton WI.? Never saw the zipper case before, just the holster and mags. Value is a tough one to nail down. Its a niche gun with a small following. Asking prices are all over the place. Stay in touch. Mike

Thinking about selling my ASP...uhg. Wondering what anyone thinks the value is nowadays?
The case has the heartbeat stitched into it. I havent come across this case anywhere. I cant see how the case would not be authentic for the ASP, but maybe someone else knows?
I shared my google album of my pics...

Thanks

Without a doubt, your ASP is highly collectable. As for the value, it all depends on the "current" shape of the firearm. Having the original paperwork, and accessories is a huge plus and that can be added to the value of your firearm. As for selling it, your best bet is via auction site (albeit a reputable one) in my opinion. If you are needing numbers, then a quick google search will help with current pricing. Yes, the ASP is rare and a nice collector's piece. Lastly, I think it's helpful for you to do an extensive research on the ASP before selling it. You might change your mind, after reading about its history.

Mine came with this case. Your case looks authentic to me.

One sold at RIA about a month ago. It went for almost $6K with the buyers premium, tax and shipping. The seller probably received closer to $4K.

Good post and nice photo. I think the ASP is probably the best modern semi-auto collectible for any S&W enthusiast, and or any history buff. I recall that I wanted one a decade and years ago, and looked for one to buy until I exhausted myself out. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the process of an extensive research reading about the history, inventor and his various patents with the ASP. To this day, I am still fascinated by it.

Thanks for posting the above. I'm not surprised by the current numbers. Such a great modern collectible. :)
