Attaching photos to private messages?

Is there a way to attach a photo to a private message? Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see an icon for "attachments" or an "advanced" message.

I use photo hosting sites. I just c&p the image to the PM.

Thanks, I'm using an iPad not sure how to c&p.. I know my computer can do it but right now it's not working that great. The photo is on my iPad and I can't transfer it to my computer.

I do it the same way I put a image in a post

I have it saved in my photos and can download to the forum in regular threads including the "for sale" section but can't find a way to download pics in private messages.

I use an iPad and Postimages. To put an image in a PM I use the same procedure that I use to put an image in a post.



Sent you a PM with pic above to demonstrate.

I put all my pictures into IMGUR. Click on a picture and you can cut an IMG file and paste it in your message. Like #5 above.

I post images in a PM exactly how I post on a regular post. I use postimage and it is very easy.

Still trying and can't seem to make it work.

I use my iPad for taking photos.. then log on to the forum, using the "go advanced".. in other sections of the forum the "go advanced"is there with the paper clip. When using PM there's no icon for the paper clip.

Unfortunately, there's no provision in the messaging system to upload photo attachments.

If you previously posted the photos on the forum, you can copy the image address and paste it into the message.

I posted this photo in another thread. I opened that thread, copied the photo and pasted it here within the image code.

You can do the same thing in a PM. The image code looks like this, without any spaces:

[ img ]Insert forum image address here[ / img]

If you're on a tablet, touch and hold the image on the screen for a second or two. When you take your finger off the screen, a "copy" option will pop up. Copy and paste that into the bracketed image code in your message. If you're on a PC, right click on the image to copy the address.

If you don't want to use a photo hosting site and haven't posted the photo on the forum, you do have another work-around.

Since you're a contributor, you have album privileges. You can create a public album, upload the photo to that album and then paste that photo address into image code in your PM.

I am like you, could never get it to work on my iPad either.
