Available now: M&P factory 357SIG barrels

I have to ask: have you shot anything out of your new 2.0 Compact 4.0" with one of the 4.25" barrels from your FS 40's or your original 4.25" 357 SIG? I'm interested because I don't see a problem with an extra length of barrel as long as the lockup is within the raised end (@ the "business end") of the barrel.

Seems to work fine with my 5" Storm Lake 9mm conversion on my FS 4.25" frame.

CHEERS!

Yes Sir, I installed the new 4.25" barrel in the 4" slide before I took it to be shortened. It functioned fine. However, I am a bit OCD on certain things and I didn't like the looks of the extra 1/4 inch sticking out, just personal preference. I didn't shoot it much when the longer barrel was installed but have not noticed any drastic change in POI etc. If you don't mind the look of the extra 1/4 inch there is no need to go to the extra expense of having one shortened, although my Smithy only charged $52.00 for the work...….to each is own.

KKM Barrels

Used the conversion .357 Sig barrel in my M&P 40
with good results well made , only negative is cost 5 years ago 165.00 but the choice then was small

I got both of those cheap midway barrels in .357 Sig And 9mm for my .40 M&P 2.0, they work great!
I do use a 9mm Magazine with the 9mm barrel... but 9's will run in the .40/.357 mags... so three
guns in one.... for less then an additional $200... what is not to love.... the 1/8" of barrel sticking
out of the slide bothers me not at all! I would have bought it in .357 Sig... If it was available from S&W
But a got such a smoking deal on the .40..... I don't mind!
