Glenn, I'm having just a bit of trouble with your posting.

First, we have been deluged with a new type of poster recently that just comes on, throws something out and then backs off to see what he stirs up. I call them "drive by" posters.

Hmmmmm!

Only two posts and you post the above?

Hmmmm!

No e-mail address?

Hmmmm!

What is one to think?

I would just make a very polite suggestion that if you are going to post here, you need to introduce yourself, leave your e-mail and post at least enough stuff that people will know that you are for real.

Right now, I'm having just a little problem, if you know what I mean?

Sleeper Trolls!!!

I am LMAO!

That's funny!

What's not funny is that the a-hole who introduced the original bill for national handgun registration is from my state. We just cannot seem to vote these people out!

I'm surprised any of us can still see the sky, what with all the trial balloons that have been launched!

I'm kind of wondering if someone isn't hacking "unused" user names to pull this crap. How many times can you get the wrong password before you get locked out? Can you use a program to "hack" a password? It would be easy to register once, then have access to all the user names that aren't used any more, then set your computer to work guessing the password. Then you get to troll anonymously!

Or at least checking Snopes, etc.
The snopes crew is really like the CIA on steroids!

This wikipedia entry (probably about a credible as the Mikkelsons) gives a little insight into this fount of all veracity.

Snopes (pronounced /?sno?ps/), also known as the Urban Legends Reference Pages, is a web site that is the best-known resource for validating and debunking urban legends, Internet rumors, e-mail forwards, and other such stories of uncertain or questionable origin in American popular culture. Snopes is run by Barbara and David Mikkelson, a California couple who met on the alt.folklore.urban newsgroup. The Mikkelsons also founded the San Fernando Valley Folklore Society, and were credited as the owners of the site until 2005.

Hey, I resent that! Just because I'm not as knowledgeable as most of you, it doesn' diminsh my enjoyment of this fine forum. Sorry I only own eight Smiths, but I lost my job and can't afford to buy any more of em.

Sorry, I have to leave now and take my morning nap!

I was saying that they are sometimes 'correct' (a broken clock is as well).... but they are very seldom 'right'.

Exactly! It is a useful site, but take the information there (especially in regards to politics) with a grain of salt.
